Discovering Document Semantics QBYS: A System for Querying the WWW by Semantics

Abstract: Abstract. This paper describes our research into a query-by-semantics approach to searching the World Wide Web. This research extends existing work, which had focused on a query-by-structure approach for the Web. We present a system that allows users to request documents containing not only specific content information, but also to specify that documents be of a certain type. The system captures and utilizes structure information as well as content during a distributed query of the Web. The system also allows … Show more

“…PhyParts input included the primary topology (full cpDNA, raw) and gene trees for each marker, under the "fullconcon" analysis (-a 1). PhyParts output was summarized with the Python function phypartspiecharts.py (Johnson, 2017) and functions of the R package ape v.5.6.2 (Paradis & Schliep, 2019). Additionally, two major incongruent node relationships involving the positioning of BT and MSA clades (test 1), and Nopalea and Basilares clades (test 2) were investigated (see Results for details regarding topological differences).…”

“…This issue is compounded by concerns over the Igbo elite, who stand to gain control "over not just the means of production but also the state machinery and policy processes" (Nwangwu et al, 2020). And other powerful ethnic groups that live in or near Biafra, such as the Ijaw, have often expressed antipathy to the Biafran state-particularly concerning its proposed borders (Johnson, 2017). 5 Concerns over political domination by an ethnically homogenous eliteironically, the very concerns that drove Biafran separatism immediately following the establishment of Nigeria-now drive anxieties of the eastern minorities in the proposed region.…”

“…The Igbo are the largest ethnic group found within Southeastern Nigeria by a substantial degree. The Ijaw, another influential southern ethnic group (and the ethnic group to which former President Goodluck Jonathan belonged), are also included, though the relationship between the Ijaw, Igbo and Biafra is complicated (Johnson, 2017). Smaller groups, such as the Efik, Isoko, Ibibio, Urhobo, Ikwere and Kalabari are also included.…”
