Discovery of N‐(3‐{4‐[(3‐Fluorobenzyl)oxy]phenoxy}propyl)‐2‐pyridin‐4‐ylacetamide as a Potent and Selective Reverse NCX Inhibitor.

Abstract: Based on a recently discovered reverse NCX inhibitor, a series of benzyloxyphenyl derivatives is designed and synthesized and evaluated for their inhibitory activities against the reverse and forward modes of NCX. Modification of the piperidine-1-carboxamide moiety leads to the title compound (V) possessing enhanced reverse NCX inhibitory activity and increased selectivity. -(KURAMOCHI*, T.; KAKEFUDA, A.; YAMADA, H.; OGIYAMA, T.; TAGUCHI, T.; SAKAMOTO, S.; Chem.
