“…There is need for a further development of such methodologies, and we hope that this special section will act as an invitation to interested researchers who may work toward advancing such methods in the family therapy field. In doing so, we want to emphasize a complementary perspective as we are in tune with Jay Lebow who notes that they are not meant to replace other existing methodologies (Lebow, ). In conclusion, we hope that this special section will open up possibilities for a fruitful practitioner–researcher dialogue but also for further methodological developments in the field of couple and family therapy research.…”
