Abstract: One of the most frequently utilized strategies for constructing bonds on heteroaryl scaffolds is transition metal catalysis, where diverse types of bonds can now be constructed on heteroaryl rings. Another option for functionalizing heteroaryl rings is the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction.
