Diseminasi Koleksi Audio Visual Di Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Multi Media (STMM) Yogyakarta

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dissemination of audio-visual collections contained in the Yogyakarta Multi Media College Library. The method in this study used descriptive qualitative data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis is done by reducing the data, displaying the data and then drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the audio-visual collection is still in the form of CD/ DVD cassettes. Yogyakarta Multi Media College Library has 11,100 titles; 22,239 copies of print collections and 1556 titles; 1556 copies of audio-visual collections. Inventory of audio visual collection is done by classification number and year. The strategy for disseminating the audio-visual collection at the Yogyakarta Multi Media College Library is conventional. In addition, alternative methods have not been used such as using prototypes, user development and outsourcing. The obstacles encountered in the process of disseminating the audio-visual collection at the Yogyakarta Multi Media College Library include: first, limited human resources in the process of transferring media to the digital library. Second, there is no Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for audio-visual collections produced by students. Third, the audio-visual collection storage facilities are inadequate. This is because some parts of the storage area are damaged.
