“…In rare cases, suction stabilizer devices used during off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery can cause these injuries. 8,9 Extensive subepicardial hematomas may compress the coronary artery or avulse perforating myocardial coronary branches to produce myocardial ischemia, leading to infarction and death. In our case, surgical incision of the aneurysmal lesion and evacuation of the hematoma were essential to prevent further spread of the subepicardial hematoma.…”
