Abstract:Snake venom can cause hematological abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)-like syndrome. Exposure to snake venom has been associated with specific clinical symptoms, such as bleeding; however, most patients are asymptomatic.
