Disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis (DSAP) is the most common type of porokeratosis, occurring mainly on sun-exposed skin. Chronic sun exposure is one of the main risk factors, in addition to genetic susceptibility. Most published data concerning the relationship between vitiligo and its predisposition to nonmelanoma skin cancer suggests that patients with vitiligo show the same or even a lower incidence than other populations.
