“…So far, NSCs have been transplanted predominantly directly into the rodent CNS (Svendsen et al, 1997;Fricker et al, 1999;Jain et al, 2006;Lepore et al, 2006;Vazey et al, 2006;Corti et al, 2007;Darsalia et al, 2007;Kitayama et al, 2007;Lee et al, 2007;Martin and Liu, 2007;Olstorn et al, 2007;Wei et al, 2007), but, in recent reports, nontraumatic transplantation into the CNS via cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has been demonstrated. In different studies, an intensive invasion, migration, and integration of transplanted NSCs into the damaged CNS have been detected after transplantation via CSF (Wu et al, 2002a,b;Bai et al, 2003;Ohta et al, 2004).
