Abstract:A series of chemically and biologically relevant N‐(arylthio)phthalimides is synthesized and its electrochemical reduction investigated. The results of the electrochemical study are analysed through application of Savéant's dissociative electron transfer theory and with the assistance of theoretical calculations.
