Distributed acoustic sensing of shots in realistic environments

Abstract: Upon firing, most weapons emit very loud sounds. These sounds propagate over the battlefield and are distorted by the atmospheric effects, absorbed by the ground, reflected on or diffracted around buildings or mountains.
