Abstract:We present the results of an experimental campaign aimed at demonstrating the use of a distributed optical fiber sensor based on Brillouin scattering in static and dynamic temperature measurements at cryogenic temperatures (≈ 84 K). The experimental results, obtained through Brillouin Optical Frequency-Domain Analysis (BOFDA) at a spatial resolution of 16 mm, are compared with temperature measurements using thermocouples and fiber Bragg gratings. The distributed sensor is able to capture local temperature vari… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
