Research of the quantity of microorganism in the deep sea is of great importance for the development of ecosystem science. Because the marine ecosystem is a complicated system that varies anytime and anywhere, an in situ microorganism measurement device is indispensable. The adenosine triphosphate (ATP) can only be produced in the living organism. With ATP, the fluorescein in microorganism can be catalyzed by luciferase to generate fluorescence. Basing on the ATP bioluminescence reaction detection principle, an in-situ process analyzer instrument for organism detection underwater is presented.
