Abstract:Background
With the increase in bacterial resistance worldwide, the bacterial characteristics of the biliary tract may have changed. Bile specimens for microbiological analysis are obtained primarily during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, with a few from percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage.
