“…3,28 This discrepancy could be because the study finding only represents the result from a single hospital and may be due to inadequate samples in the Nigerian study. Many studies 3,12,15,27 conducted on epistaxis are hospital-based, but epistaxis cases are mostly self-limiting, 12 and only a few seeks medical attention; 6,7 so that the number of cases that will be presented in a health institution are rare. Contrary with the above findings, the current study showed that the level of epistaxis is lower than the studies conducted in Saudi Arabia and India, where the level of epistaxis were 49% and 45%, respectively.…”

“…Similar findings were observed in studies done in Nepal and India. 18,27 The possible reason for the observed high association may be that the O blood group is known to be associated with a lower expression of von Willebrand factor which plays an important role in clotting compared with non-O blood groups. Bleeding time is recorded to be slightly longer in blood group O.…”

“…By the comparison of bleeding time and the blood groups, those with bleeding time below and equal to 30 sec were 140 individuals that included the blood group A (26), B (57), AB (18), and O (39). Further, those who had bleeding time greater than 30 sec were 60 in numbers and the blood groups included their number were A (12), B (17), AB (7), O (24). Bleeding time and blood group had no association (p = 0.284) and were nonsignificant.…”

“…Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan masa aktivitas koagulasi darah kontrol (tidak diberi perlakuan) yang berkisar pada menit ke-8 hingga 12 (Tabel 3). Sampel darah kontrol yang diambil masih dalam batas waktu pembekuan darah normal, yang diketahui berkisar antara 3-18 menit (Mirdha & Jena, 2016). Sampel yang ditambah dengan ekstrak hidrolisat tidak mengalami pembekuan darah.…”
