“…Ginseng, the root and rhizome of Panax ginseng (C. A. Meyer), has neuroprotective and cognitive‐enhancing functions in animals, healthy individuals and AD patients who have been widely reported (Lee et al, ; Lee et al, ; Heo et al, ). Proteins are one of the main components of ginseng (Ru et al ), and those with a molecular weight of 28, 26, 21, 20 and 35.2 kDa have been extracted and purified from P. ginseng (Yoon et al, ; Kim et al, ; Hwang et al, ; Moon et al, ; Ng and Wang, ). We also extracted the ginseng protein (GP) and purified the proteins of molecular weights of 66, 65, 25,15 and 8 kDa that have been described previously (Li et al, ), including the 15 kDa protein that is a superoxide dismutase (SOD), which was as a homodimer reported in our previous article (Li et al, ).…”
