Distribution of local velocities in a circular pipe with accelerating fluid flow

Show more

“…A characteristic feature of the inflow jets created by such air distributors is increased turbulence in comparison with the outlet air jets. So does velocity distribution (Hnativ, 2019). The attenuation intensity of the parameters is characterized by the magnitude of the coefficients of velocity attenuation m and the temperature attenuation n. The air supply to the upper area of the room is effective by supplying air with a two-jet air distributor .…”

“…For this purpose, it demands of intensive initial turbulence [12 -14] of air flow and high aerodynamic local resistance of air distributor [15]. If the velocity attenuation coefficient m is high, it indicates insufficient stream turbulence [16,17]. The velocity attenuation is directly related to air jet long range [18].…”

“…This usually makes it impossible to provide a normalized air velocity in the premise working area [17,24,32,33] does not provide effective attenuation of the air flow velocity [8]. The quantitative characteristic of the air stream velocity attenuation is corresponding attenuation coefficient m. It is known [8,27], that decrease of air velocity attenuation coefficient is a desirable factor. It demands of intensive turbulence of air flow and results in increase of aerodynamic local resistance [9,10,30,40].…”
