Abstract: Evidence has linked head trauma to increased risk factors for neuropathology, including acute mechanical deformation of the cortical sulcal fundus and, later, perivascular accumulation of hyperphosphorylated tau (p-tau) adjacent to these spaces related to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
