The fact that we have been able to demonstrate the presence of IgM, IgG, and fl, within macrophages and polymorphs adhering to skin-window coverslips in rheumatoid patients (Vernon-Roberts and Jessop, 1972) could suggest that similar immunological factors may influence the function of inflammatory cells at extra-articular sites.…”
