With growing electricity demand and environmental concerns, renewable energy especially wind energy has been moved into the center of concentration recently. The wind energy conversion (WECS) system has connected to the power grid to provide the consumer electricity demand. The various area where researchers have underwritten could be classified in various methods. The main unease of many previous researches related to power quality improvement for instance reactive power compensation, voltage regulation, total harmonic distortion reduction and stability of the system. Various proposed control schemes and techniques are reviewed in this paper which focused on grid integration of large wind turbines to preserve the power quality in acceptable limit.
