“…Digoldgermanes 3 were synthesized by the reduction of 2 obtained by the insertion of stable dialkylgermylene 1 [42][43][44][45] into Cl-Au bond of R 3 PAuCl (Scheme 1). Compounds 3 are unique with the two gold atoms heterolytically coordinated by dialkylgermylene 1 and a trialkylphosphine.…”

“…ToF-SIMS measurements further underpin the XPS results as depicted in Figure3(right-hand side). While both the blank and control sample (not displayed) do not show any poly(n-butyl acrylate) fragments, NMRC-functionalized substrate 5 shows both characteristic poly(n-butyl acrylate) signals C 4 H 7 O − and C 4 H 9 O − and nitroxide derivative C 2 H 4 NO − .Degrafting experiments (6) reduced the surface coverage with carbon in XPS from 36 to 20 atom % yet again left some tin compounds behind which are known to add to nitroxide radicals 68. Surprisingly, XPS showed again the removal of most of the OC−O species and hence of the poly(n-butyl acrylate).…”
