Abstract

Temporal and spatial diversification of component crops in an intercrop is key to ecological intensification of cropping systems. (this thesis) 2. Residual benefits of maize-legume intercropping are amplified by addition of fertilizer.(this thesis) 3. Climate change is an opportunity rather than a challenge for farmers to think outside the box. 4. The current publishing wave promotes fashionable topics while overlooking innovative ideas. 5. Technological advancements make people less creative. 6.
