Diversity of Collembola under various types of anthropogenic load on ecosystems of European part of Russia

Abstract: Despite the key role played by soil organisms in the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems and provisioning of ecosystem services (Barrios 2007, Bardgett and Putten 2014), available open data on soil biodiversity are incongruously scarce (Eisenhauer 2017, Cameron 2018). This is especially true for Russia, but contrasts long traditions of soil zoological research and large volumes of data that were collected during the second half of the 20th century for the territory of the former USSR. Last year, 41,928 geore… Show more

“…Our results suggest that Xishuangbanna is the richest area in Thysanoptera species composition to be taken into consideration for biodiversity conservation. However, some species from the references were lacking sufficient information for the records and deposition to be the common challenge in the taxonomic study ( Kuznetsova and Ivanova 2020 ) and suggest that detailed inventories on the specimens records and modernised open, readily accessible online or digitised data are required for sustainable taxonomic studies, as suggested by Specht et al (2018) . Besides, further investigations are suggested to explore the species diversity and variation within Thysanoptera ecosystem services provided in this area for sustainable biodiversity conservation.…”

“…Помимо данных о растительности [14, 15 и др. ], проведен сбор и анализ данных о биоразнообразии по почвенным беспозвоночным [16][17][18], жукам [19,20] и птицам [21]. Нами опубликованы наборы экологических данных также в других тематических международных репозиториях: Zenodo [13], iDiv [16], sPlots [22].…”

“…In the Central European part of Russia, anthropogenic pressures on wild ecosystems are substantial. Yet, insect assemblages in temperate zones exhibit resilience and adaptation capabilities [ 40 , 41 , 42 , 43 ]. Thus, it is particularly intriguing to examine drosophilid species richness and abundance fluctuations in the natural parks of a major city.…”
