This paper aims to investigate the long-run relationship between the real exchange rate and the Brazilian trade balance disaggregated by technological intensity classification, i.e., High Tech, Medium-High Tech, Medium Low Tech, and Low Tech, using monthly data from the period of January 2000 to December 2022. To achieve this aim, time-varying cointegration methodology is used, as it is understood that a linear approach is not well suited for developing economies, that face much influence from external events and internal turmoils, which is just the case of Brazil. It was found that, from the 4 sectors, only the low-tech sector has the usually expected signals, that is, a benefit from exchange depreciation, but even for this industry, this positive effect has been diminishing since 2009, due to structural changes in the Brazilian agricultural sector, which accounts for much of the added value in the low-tech goods. The dynamic real exchange rate elasticities for the medium-high and medium-low tech industries oscilated much throughout the time frame of the study, revealing the great influence of external and internal shocks in the change of the trajectory of these elasticities. The high-tech sector presented opposite signals in the estimated elasticities, revealing that exchange rate appreciations benefit it, probably due to its dependency on imported inputs.

Bitcoin has increased rapidly in value since the first day of its integration into today's markets. The increases experienced have directed the interest of global investors to this field over time. In addition to these developments, the increasing popularity of blockchain technology and the increase in the volume of cryptocurrencies have turned these currencies into an important tool for commercial activities. Although there are many studies to measure the international trade balance with exchange rates, no study has been found to examine the relationship between the change in cryptocurrency prices and the trade balance of countries. In this study, the relationship between the trade balance of Nigeria, one of the leading countries in the world in terms of cryptocurrency usage, and cryptocurrencies is analysed using NARDL analysis with coefficient symmetry test (2016/M4-2020/ M12). According to the research results, Bitcoin and Litecoin can have significant long-term impact on Nigeria's trade balance.

The global economic crisis in 2008 still has an impact on the Indonesian capital market. The impact of the crisis was reflected in the correction of stock prices by 40-60 percent from the initial position in 2008. Two of the main impacts of stock price fluctuations in the capital market due to the global economic crisis in 2008 were the inflation rate and volatile foreign exchange rates. The research method used is the ex post facto method. Data collection is done by recording observations, interviews, and literature research. The hypothesis is that there is an influence of the inflation rate and foreign exchange rates on the value of the company PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. The analysis is in the form of simple and multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, and hypothesis testing. The result is that there is a moderate relationship with a positive correlation between the inflation rate and foreign exchange rates on the value of the company with a correlation value (R) of 0.595 and linear regression analysis with the equation Y = 319.972 + 71.431X1 + 0.843X2 besides that obtained Kd of 0.354 and distribution Fhitung 15.639 > Ftabel 3.162 means Ho is rejected and Ha has accepted means that overall the inflation rate and foreign exchange rates together affect the value of the company at PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk
