Abstract:The design of a sampling unit, whether a simple plot or a subplot within a clustered structure, including shape and size, has received little attention in inferential forestry research. The use of auxiliary variables from remote sensing impacts the precision of estimators from both model-assisted and model-based inference perspectives.
