Does Ligation of the Intersphincteric Fistula Tract Raise the Bar in Fistula Surgery?

Abstract: The present study indicates that the ligation of the intersphincteric fistula tract procedure for transsphincteric fistulas has a significant risk for failure but good functional outcome in patients with no recurrence.
