“…The shallow-water M. senegalensis shows greater spatial (depth) and temporal (year) variability in its energy reserves than the deep-water M. polli. Conversely, growth analysis of these species (Rey et al, 2012) suggests that M. polli is more affected by internal or external events than M. senegalensis.
