Doffing Corridor: Establishing Expedited High-Volume Doffing With Exposure Reduction to Contaminated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a COVID-19 Hospital in India
Abstract:BackgroundConsidering the virulent nature of the COVID-19, the safety of healthcare workers (HCW) became a challenge for hospital administrators. Wearing a personal protective equipment (PPE) kit, called donning, which can be easily done by the help of another staff. But correctly removing the infectious PPE kit (doffing) was a challenge. The increased number of HCWs for COVID-19 patient care raised the opportunity to develop an innovative method for the smooth doffing of PPEs.
