Halal food has been studied in recent years in terms of both food safety and food security. Especially halal food products health, hygiene, quality, eco-friendly and so on. Considering the criteria, it is seen as an opportunity for entrepreneurs in the food sector. The rise in the demand for halal food products in the world evaluation of these opportunities is important in terms of Turkey. Indeed, Turkey is an important country as the potential for halal food products, consumers should investigation of attitudes and behavior towards halal food. Within the scope of the study, it was aimed to determine the willingness of consumers to pay for halal foods and for this purpose, 383 consumers were surveyed with a simple random sampling method in central districts of Konya. In the study, Willingness to Pay (WTP) method, which is one of the conditional evaluation methods, was used to determine the willingness of consumers to pay for halal foods. In this context, firstly, probit analysis was performed to determine the variables that best explain the willingness of consumers to pay. According to the probit analysis, it was found that willingness to pay for halal food products positively affected the gender, consumer age, marital status, consumer income, consumer occupation and education of the consumer. In addition, the marginal effects of variables used in the willingness to pay model for halal food for different payment options were calculated. According to the analysis, it was determined that the willingness to pay for marginal increases in the variables of the gender of the consumer, household width, consumer age, marital status, consumer monthly income, occupational status and consumer education. The level at which consumers are willing to pay for halal foods is WTP 10, a category where consumers can pay 100% or 2 times higher than normal price.

Dünya nüfusunun giderek artmasıyla birlikte plansız büyüme, kentleşme, sanayileşme ve buna bağlı olarak iklim değişikliği gibi gelişmeler doğal kaynakların korunmasını zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Bu kapsamda korumaya alınan doğal kaynakların başında Milli Parklar gelmektedir. Milli park kavramının ortaya çıkmasına neden olan temel etken doğal, tarihi ve kültürel değerlerin korunması ihtiyacı olmuştur. Bu amaçla Türkiye’nin en büyük ikinci milli parkı olan Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı’nın değerlemesi yapılmıştır. Değerlemede Koşullu Değerleme Yöntemi ve Seyahat Maliyeti Yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aşamasında Oransal Örnekleme Yöntemi kullanılarak örnek sayısı 383 adet belirlenmiş olup, anketler 2019 yaz döneminde milli park sınırları içerisinde ziyaretçilerle yapılmıştır. Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı’na Koşullu Değerleme Yöntemine göre 186.838.123 TL, Seyahat Maliyeti Yöntemine göre 453.612.000 TL hesaplanmış olup, toplam ekonomik değeri 640.450.123 TL olarak belirlenmiştir. Ziyaretçi başına tüketici rantı, yani bir yıl içerisinde milli park ziyareti için ödemeye razı olduğu ücret ise 2.202TL olarak hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen tüm bulgular ışığında ülkenin milli gelirinde payı olan Türkiye’nin ikinci büyük milli parkının ekonomik değeri ve mevcut potansiyeli ortaya konulmuştur. Ekonomik değeri kalkınma politikalarında değerlendirilmeli, mevcut potansiyeli ise çevre koruma politikaları çerçevesinde korunarak insanların sosyal faydasına sunulmalıdır.

In this study, it is aimed to estimate the economic value of the recreation function, as being one of forest functions, based on the example of Camili Biosphere Reserve Area, which is the first and only biosphere reserve area of Turkey. Travel cost method and contingent valuation method were used in the research. A survey was conducted with 96 visitors who performed recreational activities in the area in 2016. Based on travel cost method; the average individual travel cost is estimated as 201.57 TL, the individual consumer surplus is 697.16 TL and the total consumer surplus is 12200300 TL. In contingent valuation method, a theoretical scenario about a project for recreation services was presented to the visitors, and the average and total willingness to pay values were tried to be estimated. The average willingness to pay was estimated as 186.48 TL, and the total willingness to pay as 3263400 TL. As a result, it can be said that people are willing to pay less than they spend. In addition, by increasing the awareness and diversifying the recreational activities of the local people, the number of visitors and the expenditures made by the visitors can be increased, and thus the recreational value can be even higher.
