Abstract: Background/Purpose Soft tissue necrosis after the repair of a ruptured tendo Achillis is a difficult problem commonly encountered by orthopaedic surgeons. Such wounds are difficult to manage because of the tenuous blood supply and the characteristic anatomical features of the area.
