Double charmonium production in exclusive bottomonia decays

Abstract: This paper is devoted to the leading twist exclusive bottomonia decays with double charmonium in the final state. Using models of the twist-2 charmonia distribution amplitudes the widths of these decays are calculated within light cone formalism. In addition, the processes under consideration are studied within nonrelativistic QCD. In our analysis we have found that the production of some of the $P$-wave charmonia mesons with $L_z \neq 0$ is allowed already at the leading twist approximation. This means that t… Show more

“…Based on the cross-sections and branching ratios given in Ref. [537], 500 (1500) fully reconstructed χ b0 (1P ) (χ b2 (1P )) are expected with the upgraded detector and these decays will be visible at LHCb. In the case of the η b state, several estimates exist, based on values of the branching ratio η b → J /ψJ /ψ ranging from 10 −6 to 10 −8 [538], corresponding to yields of 0.02 to 5 events.…”

“…Many phenomenological applications along this line have been made for exclusive hard production of charmonium [7][8][9][10][11][12][13], exclusive charmonium production in B meson decays [14][15][16][17], etc. All of these applications require the understanding of the LCDAs for quarkonia.…”
