“…Although each medical unit dispatched medical personnel with professional and psychological qualities to participate in the work of assisting Hubei to fight the epidemic, at the end of assistance work, 31.6%, 23.6%, and 55.6% of the participants still showed symptoms of depression, anxiety, and impaired sleep quality, respectively. Our results are largely consistent with those of other studies, which have reported that during a major public health emergency, the medical staff faced the risk of experiencing serious mental health consequences due to high-intensity fatigue [ 13 – 15 ].
