Downregulation of BCSG1 may correlate with better outcome of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer

Abstract: Abstract. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between breast cancer-specific gene 1 (BCSG1) and the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Real-time RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry were used to determine the expression of BCSG1 mRNA and protein levels of 32 TNBC patients before and after NAC.
