Abstract: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) carcinogenesis and malignant transformation are intimately associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. A zinc-fingered transcription factor known as Krüppel-like factor 5 (KLF5) has been shown to be aberrantly expressed in a number of cancer types.
