Abstract:Mn compounds presenting magneto-structural phase transitions are currently intensively studied for their giant magnetocaloric effect; nevertheless, several parameters remain to be further optimized. Here, we explore the Mn(Fe,Ni)(Si,Al) series, which presents two advantages.
