“…The oldest indubitable group that includes drillers is reported from the Valanginian, Early Cretaceous (Kaim, 2004). Triassic occurrences of drill holes are rare, with only unquestionable occur-rences in the Carnian and Norian (see summary and discussion in Klompmaker et al, 2016).
