Drivers of sustainable new technology diffusion in national markets: The case of electric vehicles

Abstract: This study investigates the factors that impact the diffusion of sustainable new technologies (SNTs) in nations. The article focuses on four country-level variablesdevelopment status, focus on sustainability, innovation focus, and type of government-and their relationship with SNT diffusion. In addition to using regression to assess the independent variables' sufficiency, necessary condition analysis is used to analyze the necessity of the variables for SNT diffusion. Data consisted of a 10-year panel data set… Show more

“…Without a doubt, DI has become the key to sustaining Industry 4.0, but before hurriedly implementing any digital technology into organizational systems, it is critical to first identify the purpose for implementing digital technology (Jaiswal & Zane, 2021). Before initiating or implementing any digital innovation into business processes, it is critical to first initiate organizational changes with respect to its existing employees, technology, and organizational system (Kohli & Melville, 2018).…”

“…Accordingly, this study views the nexus between culture and collaboration from a lens similar to the theory of constraints by identifying the most critical dimension of collaborative culture that limit supply chain collaboration. In recent times, researchers assert that analysis tools anchored on sufficiency thinking, such as multiple regression (Sharma, Dwivedi, Mariani, & Islam, 2022; Jaiswal & Zane, 2022), structural equation modelling (Lee et al, 2022; Lee & Jeong, 2021) and PLS-SEM (Yu et al, 2022; Pinochet et al, 2022), are not enough in unearthing the nuanced relationships between conditions and outcomes. Hence, to ascertain the level of necessity of collaborative culture and its dimensions, this study used NCA (Dul, 2016).…”

“…The voltage boosting is applied for very low frequencies (typically less than about a quarter of the base frequency) in order to match the applied voltage and the induced EMF, which is caused by the drop‐in stator resistance. The air‐gap flux drifting and sluggish responses are the limitations of IM, which affects the high‐performance EV operation based on VVVF control 25 . The FOC allows for similar control of the IM to the separately excited DC motor.…”

The FOC-based IM attaining more attention for modern EV applications with the initiation of powerful low-cost microcontrollers.…”
