DRL performance in rats following damage to the septal area, olfactory bulbs, or olfactory tubercle

Abstract: Long-Evans rats with olfactory bulb damage. olfactory tubercle destruction. septal lesions. or control operations were trained on a VI 30-sec schedule and tested for response suppression ability on DRL lO-sec and DRL 20-sec schedules. Animals with septal damage overresponded on all three schedules. while animals with olfactory bulb damage overresponded on the VI 30-sec schedule and on the DRL IO-sec schedule.
