Abstract:Psychopharmacotherapy of major psychiatric disorders is mostly based on drugs that modulate serotonergic, dopaminergic, or noradrenergic neurotransmission, either by inhibiting their reuptake or by acting as agonists or antagonists on specific monoamine receptors.
