<span>There are different methods of drying wet clothes, but drying with direct sunlight is considered the best suited for the preservation of the quality and usability of the cloths. However, sudden rainfall during the drying period constitutes a major drawback of the method. This returns the cloths to a drenched state as it is practically impossible to watch the clothes dry off after washing. This paper has proposed a model for an automated system for controlled open-air fabric drying by detecting the rain and moisture status of the cloths in real-time, and capable of shielding them to safety from the rainfall and excess sun. The modelled part considers the sensing model, drying model, control model, and their validation. The implementation and evaluation stage relates the result of the validated results to the developed prototypes. The simulated results in the sensing unit indicate above 87.5% agreements with the analytical results, and the controller simulated result provides a relatively small overshoot and faster dynamic response. Manufacturers of hanger systems for cloth drying have a basis for the design and implementation of their products in the paper.</span>

One of the current problems is the use of energy obtained from fossil fuels, especially due to the emission of greenhouse gases. An option to replace fossil fuels is the use of alternative energies such as solar or wind energy. The objective of this work is to carry out a thermal and energy analysis of an indirect air heating system that receives energy through solar collectors that operate with water as the thermal fluid used in a food dehydration system, in order to know the efficiency of the system and therefore, make improvements to the circuit, in addition to the characterization of the water storage tank of the system, obtain the amount of energy that can be provided and the behavior of temperatures at different operating flows. According to the methodology, the temperature profile was obtained inside the hot water tank in two modes of operation (heating and energy extraction) reaching temperatures of 50 to 70 ° C, where the optimum temperature for drying is found and in turn reaching an efficiency 84%, compared to a conventional drying system that uses LP gas.

This work shows the experimental procedure to determine and verify the thermal potential of rubber derived from tire recycling in order to characterize the rubber material, through NOM-117-SSA1-1994 and present the components that this material It has, to be incorporated into the design of a prototype of a solar heater, substituting materials, such as glass and / or copper, with which solar heaters are currently composed. As results of this investigation, the rubber material characterization method was carried out, finding 0.190 mg for each gram of recycled rubber of Cu and Zn, ideal materials for heat transfer; The design of the solar heater prototype was also carried out using SolidWorks® software which provides data and results of the thermal behavior and energy transfer capacity (heat), which was subjected to thermal simulations, obtaining temperatures higher than 80 ° C in each part that makes up the solar heater, which shows that the rubber derived from the recycling of the tire provides a high calorific power of heat transfer to be applied in the elaboration of a solar water heater, which will reduce its production costs and will benefit society by avoiding public health problems such as respiratory diseases due to abrupt changes in temperature.
