DSP-based Reduction of the Impact of White ADC Timing Jitter on Hybrid OFDM-DFMA PONs

Abstract: We show that in hybrid OFDM-DFMA PONs, simple receiver-based sideband processing reduces jitter effects, increasing signal to noise ratio by 3dB, thus increasing robustness against white ADC timing jitter and reducing jitter-induced optical power penalty.
