The proposed report notes the perspective of using programming features provided by modern commercial electro magnetic software packages to automate and accelerate the process of designing of complex multi-element microwave structures. Two macros coded for log-periodic dipole array antennas (LPOAs) designing in popular software tools FEKO and CST Microwave Studio are presented and discussed. These macros are able to create the fully parameterized models of multi-element log-periodic antenna struc tures including determination of mesh setting, material properties, boundary conditions, field monitors, and other project settings. Two example designs of LPOAs are shown. One of them is the simple L-band LPOA operating at the frequency range from 0.9 GHz to 1.5 GHz. Another one is the decade bandwidth planar LPOA feed for a reflector antenna with FlO ratio of 0.55 that consists of 47 dipoles. nporpAMMPOBAHE MAKPOCOB B COBPEMEHHblX npOrPAMMHblX KOMnIlEKCAX 3IlEKTPO.QHAM4ECKOrO MO.QEIlPOBAHfI HA npMEPE npOEKTPOBAHfI IlOrOnEPO.Q4ECKX B6PATOPHbIX AHTEHH nnaCTI!1KOB A.
