Dual-band filtering power divider with widely separated passbands

Abstract: This article presents a dual‐band microstrip filtering power divider with widely separated passbands. The design topology is mainly constructed by two pairs of dual‐mode resonators, an open‐ended input line and two T‐shaped output lines. Owing to the field symmetry at the two sides of the input line, two identical signals are coupled to the resonators and finally transmitted at two output ports. Since each pair of the employed dual‐mode resonators can be independently designed, widely separated dual‐passbands … Show more

“…Many FPDs have been proposed, such as Wilkinson/Gysel FPDs, [1][2][3] coupled line prototype-based FPDs, [4][5][6] microstrip-to-slot transition integrated FPDs, 7 substrate integrated waveguide FPDs, 8 and so on. Moreover, multiband FPDs [9][10][11][12][13] have also been researched with wide attention. However, most studies of FPDs are based on fixed response, lack of flexibility.…”

“…In recent years, much effort has been made on exploring high-performance multi-band FPDs. Nevertheless, most of researches done so far have focused themselves on the design of dual-band FPDs [4][5][6][7][8] and only a few works are on triple-band FPDs. [9][10][11] For instances, a triple-band FPD has been proposed by replacing coupled shortcircuited stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) in conventional Wilkinson PD (WPD).…”
