Dual-Band MIMO Antenna System for Next Generation Smartphone Applications

Abstract: In this new article, a different model of dual-band MIMO compact antenna array is proposed for the upcoming fifth generation smartphone mobile terminal. The antenna conatins eight antenna elements covering dual frequency rang including 3.18-3.96 GHz and 4.95-5.52 GHz of sub 6 GHz 5G spectrums. The elements are fed by modified Fshaped microstrip feeding lines. Essential characteristics of the suggested model are examined. It proposes adequate S-parameters, suitable isolation, sufficient radiation analysis, and … Show more

“…The two antenna elements that make up the dual-antenna pair have average efficiencies of 74.7% and 57.8%, respectively, according to the measurements taken. The proposed design has the benefits of a shared radiator, a wide bandwidth, and the ability to work with metal rims and so could be used in 5G phones in the future [ 77 , 78 ].…”

“…Furthermore, to achieve greater miniaturization and a triple frequency band of operation, the proposed antenna array is carved on the radiating patch of a microstrip antenna. This research is completed in four steps [43]. The design technique and simulation results of the new modified hexagonal array are presented in the first step.…”

“…It is possible to lower the antenna performance with the user hand. This is also dependent on the antenna component's distance and positioning [43][44][45]. The features of the inserted antenna elements in the presence of the double-hands model are illustrated in the following section..…”
