Dual band monopole antenna for wireless communication system

Abstract: A dual band monopole antenna for Wireless local area network (WLAN) communication system is presented. The antenna has been designed with two meander branch monopole elements and the rectangular ground structure with simple configuration. The first branch is optimized by using a quarter wavelength of desired resonance frequency at 2.45 GHz. Meanwhile, additional branch of second branch brings resonance frequency of 5.8 GHz.
