Dual mode antipodal Vivaldi antenna

Abstract: In this study, a dual mode antipodal Vivaldi antenna is developed to operate in ultra‐wideband and two narrowbands [global system for mobile communication (GSM) 1800, wireless local area network (WLAN)]. The antenna provides an impedance bandwidth of 9.7 GHz in wideband mode and 800 MHz, 280 MHz (WLAN, GSM 1800) in narrowband mode at −10 dB reference level.
