Abstract:A comparison of two different probabilistic techniques in the context of a homogenization of the polymer filled with rubber particles is demonstrated in this work. Homogenization approach is based on deformation energy of the Representative Volume Element containing a single spherical particle, which must be equal for the heterogeneous and equivalent homogenized bodies. Both probabilistic methods are based on a series of the Finite Element Method experiments that leads to determination of effective characteris… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
