Pregnancy is an important experience that brings about many changes. Changes that occur in pregnancy can have. an impact on the psychological aspects of pregnant women, in addition to hormonal changes during pregnancy. These hormonal changes can cause the mother to experience some emotional changes that can cause anxiety. The fulfillment of emotional needs can be provided by providing emotional support to pregnant women. Emotional support is the support that is manifested in the form of affection, trust, attention, listening, and being listened to. With emotional support, it is hoped. that it will be able to control the emotional level of the mother so that it can. reduce the. level of anxiety of pregnant women in facing the delivery process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional support and the level of anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester in facing the delivery process at the South Kuta Health Center. The design of this research is correlative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The samples used in this study. were all primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester, totaling 106 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire and data analysis using spearman rho. The results of this study indicate that most respondents have good emotional support (92,5%) and most mothers experience mild anxiety (36,8%). The results of the bivariate test showed that there. is. a significant negative relationship between emotional support and anxiety levels of pregnant. women, r = - 0.420, p- value = 0,001 < 0,05. This study concludes that there is a relationship between emotional support and the level of anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester in facing childbirth at the South Kuta Health.Center.
