Dunia yang Lestari: Eko-Eskatologi Gereja Toraja Berdasarkan Eskatologi Jürgen Moltmann

Abstract. The Toraja Church in its confession also discusses eschatology but does not adequately explain the concept of a sustainable world. With these issues in mind, the aim of this research is to enrich the Toraja Church Confession's conversation regarding the world and the end times from Jürgen Moltmann's eschatological perspective. This research was conducted by library research approach. The result of the research showed that the concept of a sustainable world must be understood in the cosmic escatology dimension, namely a new heaven and earth in quality. There, the Church plays an active role today as an eschatological response to ecology.Abstrak. Gereja Toraja dalam pengakuan imannya juga membahas eskatologi, namun belum menjelaskan secara memadai mengenai konsep dunia yang lestari. Dengan persoalan tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkaya percakapan Pengakuan Gereja Toraja mengenai dunia dan zaman akhir dari perspektif eskatologi Jürgen Moltmann. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep dunia yang lestari harus dipahami dalam dimensi eskatologi kosmik, yaitu langit dan bumi yang baru secara kualitas. Di situ peran aktif Gereja adalah sebagai respons eskatologis terhadap lingkungan hidup.
