Abstract:Introduction: Iatrogenesis is one of the most serious threats to patients with rheumatic diseases, with high morbidity and mortality rates. In contrast to its importance, the published articles relating to the medical practice are scarce, especially in rheumatology. Currently, iatrogenesis is defined as any intervention performed by a health team, rightfully or wrongfully, justified or not, that results in damage to the health of the patient.
